Hello!

I am a Freelance Director/Writer working in the film and television industry in Johannesburg, South Africa. Though my expertise lie in the horror genre, that hasn’t kept me from producing successful work in other genres and formats, including comedy (Cas Oppie Kassie [segment writer & director, first assistant director]), documentary (Watch People & Mountain Folk [director & editor]) and commercial work for major companies such as Tourvest, Metropolitan Republic and MTN. Ultimately horror is what I am most passionate in, besides producing self-funded short film projects that have garnered thousands of views online, I have also developed a 22 minute short for the highly prestigious Silwerskerm Film Festival and a TV-Film for Mzansi Magic.

My attention to detail and continued growth as a filmmaker has netted me a handful of awards including the First Prize at the Looking China Youth Film Project. My long running podcast (Dark Stuff: with Christian & Suann) garners over 10’000 downloads annually.
